September 11, 2001

Do you remember what you were doing on September 11, 2001?

September 11, 2001 started off as a normal day for everyone around the country. Little did we know that America would show its true colors and come together during such a tragic time.

As most of us do, I remember exactly where I was when I found out that the Twin towers in New York were struck by planes. The information and the sights shown on television were numbing. Watching plans fly into the building in the middle of the morning when people were in work and just starting their day, probably sipping their first cup of coffee. Not only did one building go down in the tragic attack not even a half hour later the second follow.

Four commercial planes were hijacked; I believe two out of the four had departed right over my house from Logan Airport. The approximate deaths were about 3,000 people. Men, women and children; were going about their normal day, most of which never had the chance to survive. Such a tragic day for the United States; one that will never be forgotten.
