This article is about how the Gaza conflict may be a test run for a confrontation with Iran. The conflict between Israel and Hamas, has ended with a cease-fire. However, Israel and the U.S. are concerned about Iran's Nuclear Program and it's ability to slip missiles to Hamas. Moreover, Israel is at threat from long range missiles being launched from Iran. Israel's goal is to link missile defense radar systems and interceptors to thwart this threat. Historically, Israel has been able to shoot down eighty-eight percent of incoming missiles. Also, Israel's pre-emptive strikes on Hamas rocket depots have dramatically reduced the number of missiles "both provided by Iran and some built in Gaza on a Syrian design."
