Ed Vulliamy's article has him reconnecting with victims of the war in Bosnia. They share with us personal stories of horror and tragedy, and how they persevered through those haunting times. It has been roughly 20 years since the end of the war and still they continue to struggle with the deep scars it left.
Once again, we see the awful truth of the Bosnian War, this time straight from the mouths of survivors. It is ridiculous to trivialize their suffering that has yet to end. As hard as they try to recoup and rebuild so very much of what has been lost to them, they cannot have peace without justice and without true reconciliation between the filthy politics that threw these innocent people into an everlasting nightmare.
We have seen their faces and heard their voices; these victims are real.
