The man behind 9/11

     September 11, 2001 was believed to be caused by terrorist attacks. It is believed that Osama bin Laden is responsible for the attacks that have changed our lives. It sent America into war with Iraq and we were on a hunt for bin Laden.

     Osama bin Laden was the leader of al-Qaeda, the organization that claimed responsibility for 9/11.  Bin Laden was a billionaire, he had everything he needed, what I don’t understand is why on earth would he want to set up such an attack?

     Interesting fact in 1998 he was involved in the U.S embassy bombing….really?  We did nothing from 1998 until Bush declared war, except put him on the FBI most wanted list? Maybe it’s just me but that irks me a little bit that a man so powerful in his country can torture our country the way he has. What has the government or official agents do?

1998-2001 three years 2001-2011 ten years. A man was in hiding for 13 years and no one could find him? We have troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, we searched high and low this man was wanted for a million dollars.

     Finally we conquered bin Laden on May 2, 2011 members of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group and Central Intelligence Agency operatives in a covert operation ordered by United States President Barack Obama May 2, 2011, bin Laden was shot and killed inside a private residential compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

     This really gets me; pictures were not shown to the public! We were never shown proof. I know they may have been morbid but at least give us some proof!! And then to go bury him at sea out of respect?!  What respect has he shown us?  All the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom…and we give this man the respect?
