Chile student protesters occupy high schools

Students in Chile want their education system taken back from private sector and made affordable to poorer families and they are willing to do anything to make that happen.

The Chilean students have now begun occupying high schools in Chile's capital to demand the education reform they desire. Multiple police officers in riot gear have been evicting protesters from the high schools but some still remain.

These students have been protesting for more than a year trying to change an education system that has been in the private sector since 1973 under the dictatorship of General August Pinochet. Since the protest have begun there has been little change and good education is still not attainable to the poor.

In the article linked below there is a video where police had to break up a protest where three city buses were set on fire. By reading the article it is clear that these students will not stop until private education is mad readily available and affordable to all.
