South Ossetian/Georian tensions rise as both side amass weapons and ammo

Old tensions are heating up again on the South Ossetian/Georian border, as reports of Georgia building fortifications and amassing ammunition on their side of the border come in. Russia has already pledged to aid South Ossetia in many ways, including security and defense. Russia claims that Georgia has plans to continue its aggression against the break-away state of South Oessetia, despite Russia's decisive victory over Georgia in the 2008 South Ossetian War. In addition to the Georian build-up of arms, the United States senate has recently approved a defense bill which would renew the supply of weapons to the republic of Georgia "for the protection of its government and sovereign territories"

While not quite a diplomatic disaster as of yet, these events seem like they were ripped out of a Cold War era news report and have brought relations between Georgia which is backed by the United States and South Ossetia which is the principle ally for Russia in the region to their all time low since the start of the war.
